Conservation Brew #4

Conservation Brew #4 | NEIPA 6.1% for The Wilder Institute.

This beer is the fourth in our Conservation Brew Series—a series hatched with, and in support of, the Wilder Institute. This year, we’re focusing on the burrowing owl. Once a more mainstream sight ‘round these parts, this underground nester’s dwindling numbers have called concerned conservationists to action. While still listed as an Endangered species in Canada, there is cause for celebration amidst the concern: last year, the Wilder Institute released the 100th burrowing owl of their head-starting program into the wild. Drink this beer to show you give a hoot.

Artwork: Ryan Jason Allen Willert @stonegrowth

Ryan is a professional artist and muralist living in Alberta. Although he was brought up in a non-Indigenous community, he has since reconnected with his Blackfoot roots (Siksika Nation). Ryan's inspiration is the Indigenous way of life and the species that live in the natural territory of the Blackfoot people. His art also represents the healing and struggles he has faced in his life. Through his art he hopes to help people on the path of unconditional love for themselves as well as find love for nature and all its occupants.

The Burrowing Owl is Ryan's fourth can in our four-part series with The Wilder Institute.
